YouTube Beach is back...
Every year YouTube build a spectacular structure on the main beach at Cannes Lions Festival. Festival-goers can attend talks from the industries top producers, creators and brands alongside a load of awesome tech demo's.
Filling in the gaps
The design had to be flexible to accomodate differing assets and content. Some talkers provided great imagery, some provided none whatsoever. The event descriptions varied in lengths, there were various locations, times and other variables to consider. I concepted a number of UX approaches to get to my final solution.
Users to the site might not be able to use data roaming whilst visiting the Festival so the ability to download the entire schedule and sync it up with native calendar apps proved to be invaluable feature.
